Lori Ellen Cook

Lori Ellen Cook, 65, of Toledo, Ohio passed away at her home surrounded by her family on July 30, 2024. She was born in Toledo to Richard F. and Earlene L. (Jackson) Baker on April 20,1959. She attended Waite High School and would go on to raise three children, and eventually meet and marry Donald Cook. Lori and Donald celebrated 14 years of marriage together until his passing on January 16, 1996.

Lori was a bookkeeper at the Oregon Library for a time but was a homemaker for her husband and family. She loved to travel, specifically enjoying North Conway in New Hampshire. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, camping, and was known for being a great cook. Lori was a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister to her beloved brothers. Family was very important to Lori and she loved them all dearly.

Left to cherish Lori’s memory is a son, David Rupert; daughters, Jessica Rupert and Jennifer (Richard) Maier; grandchildren, Anthony, Justin, Taylor, Tony, Reina, and Tylor; great-grandchild, Tanner; brother, Steve (Lani Pauole) Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents, and brother, Scott.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 10-12 p.m. A funeral service will be held beginning at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Lake Twp Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Family of Lori Cook for funeral expenses.
