Lloyd E. Bond Sr., 75, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on December 1, 1946 in Orlando, Kentucky to Frank and MaryBell Bond. Lloyd proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, during the Vietnam War. He worked for Champion Spark Plug for many years as a machine operator. Lloyd married his wife, Sharon and they spent 42 years together before her passing in 2014. He was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church where he played on the church dart ball team for many years. Lloyd was also a member of V.F.W. Post #4906 and the Rossford Eagles. He loved spending time and spoiling his grandchildren and attending events at the Oregon Senior Center.
Lloyd is survived by his sons, Lloyd Jr. (Tricia), Jason (Jennifer); grandsons, Andrew, Nicholas, and Braden; and sisters-in-law, Wanda, Pat, and Janice. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon; and siblings, Ada (Chester) Robinson, Sallie (Earl) Mason, Alene (Virgil) McGuire, Ross (Margaret), Leonard (Gertrude) Bond, Ira (Esther) Bond, Elmer (Luella) Bond, Billy Bond, Dee Bond, Floyd Bond, and Nathan “Lee” Bond.
As per Lloyd’s wishes, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Vietnam Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ohio.
