Linda F. Woodworth, age 84 of Rossford, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Bay Park Community Hospital surrounded by family. Linda was born to Freeman and Pauline (Todd) Dixon on January 4, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Waynesboro High School and Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN. She married Richard H. Woodworth on November 6, 1959, and moved to Toledo, Ohio. Linda worked in production for ConAgra and was the “sample lady” at Meijer after she retired. Linda enjoyed Bunco club, shopping, arranging flowers and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was inclusive, supportive and accepting, always available to listen without judgement. She could spend hours on the phone just catching up with everyone. She cared deeply for her family and always encouraged them. She was the first there to celebrate their successes. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Linda is survived by her children Sherri (Warren) Kirwen, Richard M. (Pam) Woodworth, and Paula (Bill) Gallagher; grandchildren Freeman Woodworth, Jamee (Kyle) Bergman, Mary (Ben) Bigelow, Todd Woodworth, James (Jenna) Kirwen, Brent Gallagher, and Mike Gallagher; great-grandchildren Justice, Alexis, Kylie, Caiden, Justin, Nolan, Nevaeh, Millie, Amber, Emma, Zoey, Anastasia, Ronan, and Ogden; and close friends Shirley White, Bob Davis, Nedra Cole and Carolyn Shiffler. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard H. Woodworth.
A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions are appreciated in honor of her mother to the Alzheimer’s Association.
