Linda Perez Herrera, was born in August 12, 1956 to Manuel and Romelia Perez. Linda was a childcare teacher at Toddlers for many years. She had a heart of Gold just like her mother, she helped and loved everyone that she met. Linda was beautiful person inside and out. She was the best mother, grandma, sister and aunt that anyone could ask for. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, Felix, Lily, Santos, Chewy, Laticia, Graciela and Adelina. She also loved spending her free time with her sisters. Linda was well known in the Birmingham Neighborhood for her free spirit. Linda was a loyal wife to her husband Hector of 36 years. It was love at first sight when they met. Linda passed away on November 7, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Survived by her husband, Hector; daughters, Christina (Catarino) Hernandez and Yolanda (Jose) Carrizales; son, Hector, Jr. (Sherry) Herrera; 7 grandchildren, brothers, Jesse (Rita), Loncio, Cookie (Jessica); sisters, Romelia (Armondo) Herrera, Janet Torres, Thaimi (Jose) Ruiz and Nancy (John) Sroga and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Manuel, Jr., Dino, Gaston and John Perez; and sisters, Clementine and Fatima, niece, Mary and nephew Jesse Perez.
Family and friends may visit from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon where the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Linda’s memory directly to Yolanda Herrera.
