Linda L. Gunjak, 74, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Mercy-St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1941 in Toledo to Kermit and Vera LeBay. Linda worked as truck dispatcher for Refiners Transport/BMI for 20 years. She also was an association secretary for the U.S. LST Association for 25 years. Linda was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her children: Joe (Pam) Schmidt, Laura (Jeff) Buehrer and Michelle VanderMeer; step daughter, Karla (John) Hall; her grandchildren: Daniel, Thomas, Nicole, Justin, Jessica and her Siberian Husky, Misty. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milan Gunjak and former spouse, Thomas J. Schmidt.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 9-1 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
