Clark, Linda Jean of Toledo Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, Sept 2, 2016. Linda was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl “Jeep” Clark; sister, Claudette Brittson and faithful dog, Tony.
She leaves, to cherish her memory her son, Gregg (Ann) Fouty; step-daughter, Marcia Clark; sister, Marcia Appelhans; grandsons, Carey (Cynthia), Seth and granddaughter, Jessica, along with many other extended family and friends.
Linda was born on September 10, 1942 in Toledo Ohio and graduated from Waite High School in 1960 She was the daughter of Anna Mae (Schemenauer) and Jules Mallien. Linda spent her entire life in Toledo, with her proudest moment on January 3, 1963 when she gave birth to Gregg Alan.
Linda will be remembered for being kind-hearted, good natured with an endless ability to forgive and forget. She liked her quiet times enjoying wildlife, spending time at the cabin, cooking and watching sappy movies on Lifetime, but also knew how to have a good time with family & friends; dancing, dining, playing cards or just catching up over a cup of coffee. She was active in a bowling league for several years winning trophies and even appearing on the show “Bowling for Dollars”. Later in life she discovered the casino and could spend countless hours on only a few dollars, always leaving with a grin on her face and a sparkle in her eye.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Freck Funeral Chapel. A small private service will be held for the family at Lake Township Cemetery. Linda’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to the Eastside Toledo Senior Center.
