Lily Louise
On Monday, June 22, 2015 we lost our beloved mother Lily. With her passing she took a piece of each of our hearts, but she left so much more. This amazing lady and her unwavering love for each one of us is a gift that cannot be replaced. Lily passed at Flower Hospital after 88 years of life. She was born on February 13, 1927 in London England to William and Ellen Bailey. Lily joined the WAVES, during WWII and moved to America in 1947. She was employed as a seamstress for Banner Mattress for 28 years. Lily was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church for over 55 years where she was involved in the ladies quilting club. She was also the former treasurer and past president of the Daughters of British Empire. Lily enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Her greatest joy in life was each of her: children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Ann (Charles) Hansen, William (Nadine) Dukeshire, Sandra (Larry) Albright, Deborah (Terry) Kidwell, Vickie (Ricky) Watkins, James (Darlene) Dukeshire, Ellen (Mark) Stoner and Luann (Ron) Harris; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren; and special sisters-in-law, Bonnie Hughes and Carol Killey. She is also survived by all her beloved family in England. Lily was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred, granddaughters, Tonya Sue Hansen and Jennifer Lyn Kidwell and family members in England.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at First St. John Lutheran Church where family will receive guests starting 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Winston Churchill Chapter of the DBE.
