Leon T. Cox Jr

April 17, 1951 — April 4, 2013

Leon Cox Jr.

The world lost a special man and heaven gained a new soul on April 4, 2013.
Leon was born on April 17, 1951 to Leon and Myrtle in Toledo.

Leon touched everyone he met through his kind heart, affectionate ways, and gentle nature. He will be sadly missed by the staff at Lott Industries, Epilepsy Center and Anne Grady Center who lived with, worked with, guided, supported and loved Leon.

Leon’s interests ranged from drawing, swimming, bowling, watching movies, going out to eat, visiting the zoo and taking classes at the museum. He loved music and particularly Celine Dion. A passionate sports enthusiast, he was a fan of the Dodgers and Mud Hens.  He loved working for Lott for many years, and was always proud of his work and money earned.

Left to cherish his memory and to remember what he taught us best--to simply enjoy life and to be happy, are his family members, Carol Cox of Los Angeles, Colleen (Robert) Sander of Roswell, GA, Jerry (Mimi) Cox, niece Julie (Brad) Rubini and her family, and a host of other family members, friends and caregivers. He was predeceased by his siblings David (Jean) Cox and Nita Ostrowski and brother-in-law Perry Zeigler.

A visitation and celebration of Leon’s life will take place Wednesday, April 10th  at 6 p.m. with service to follow at 7 p.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon. A private burial ceremony will occur at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Leon’s name may be made to the Anne Grady Center or the Epilepsy Center.
