Lendal D. Trowbridge

Lendal D. Trowbridge, 86, of Oregon, OH, formerly of Holland and Walbridge, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born October 25, 1934 in Center, KY to Samuel H. and Eva C. (Jeffries) Trowbridge.  Lendal married the love of his life, Joyce O. Soards July 19, 1958 and together they raised their family. He was employed for many years as a truck driver and as a forklift operator for GM, retiring in 1993 after 34 years of service. Lendal enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He liked to spend time fishing, woodworking and gardening; and he was a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church.

Lendal leaves behind his wife, Joyce; his children, Tim (Debra) Trowbridge and Pam (Jeff) Bryan; his grandchildren, Ashley (Joe) Hagedorn, Jeffrey (Cassandra) Bryan, Evan Trowbridge and Amy Trowbridge; his great-granchildren, Jack Hagedorn, Emma Bryan, Jacob Bryan, Tucker Hagedorn, and Logan Hagedorn; his siblings, Wayne (Nancy) Trowbridge, Norma (Carroll) Wallace, Dottie Houk, Sharon (Joe) Bryd, and LouAnn (Arnold) Bryant; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Monday, August 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Athens Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Breckman St., Walbridge, OH, with visitation one hour prior in the church narthex. Lendal will be laid to rest at Lake Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
