Lawrence H. Wamer, 87, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away at his home on Saturday, July 1, 2017. He was born December 12, 1929 in Toledo to George and Hazel (Quetschke) Wamer and honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. For over 38 years, Timer was an electrician with L.O.F. retiring in 1987. Timer was very active in his church and community. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, the Walbridge St. Jerome Council 11450 Knights of Columbus, the Walbridge VFW Post 9963, leader for both the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and coach for softball and basketball. Timer was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and was in charge of the Lake Twp. Fishing Derby. Timer also enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Goodlive) Wamer; children, Matthew (Patricia) Wamer, Lawrence (Michelle), William (Jenna) and Mary (Sam) Steerman; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and brothers, Gary (Beverly), Norman (Barbara) and Curt (Billie) along with many dear nieces and nephews. Timer was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Beatrice Fletcher and Marla Jobuck.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street in Walbridge, with the family to receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church.
