LAWRENCE F. “LARRY” STEWART
Larry Stewart, 72, of Toledo passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at
Bay Park Hospital. He was born July 21, 1940 in Toledo to Floyd W. and Dorothy (Still) Stewart and attended Waite High School. Larry served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was honorable discharged. He worked as an auto mechanic, loved tinkering in his garage and most recently enjoyed fishing at home around his pond.
For over 50 years, Larry with his loving wife Jo-Ann (Moscaritolo) Stewart lived in Saugus, MA, returning in 2008 to the Toledo area. In 2009, Larry received his honorary High School diploma from Waite High School.
He is survived by his wife; children, Jody (Gordon) Stewart, Lawrence F. (Tania) Stewart, II, Joelle (Thomas) Amero; grandchildren, Jonelle, Joshua, Ashley, Kayla, Nicolas, L.J. and Abbigale; great-grandchild, Logan; sisters, June and Linda; brother, Doug; surrogate mother, Mary Stewart; and nephews, Robert and Butch Stewart. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frieda and brothers, Floyd and Carl.
In honoring Larry’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements were entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
