Lawrence E. Gladieux

Larry E. Gladieux, age 81, passed away at Toledo Hospital on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was born December 29, 1941 to Frederick and Joan (Schuster) Gladieux in Toledo, OH. Larry worked for over thirty years with Sun Oil. He married the love of his life, Cecile, and together they raised their family. Larry was an excellent chili cook and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the lake. His grandchildren affectionately knew him as Grandpa Junk.

Larry leaves behind his loving wife, Cecile; his children, Lisa (Don) Baker, Laurie (Curt) Smith, and Sarah (Brian) Gschwind; his grandchildren, Tiffany Smith (Arturo Flores), Kimberly Smith, Brett (Tiffany) Smith, Justin Smith, and Morgan Gschwind; his great-grandchildren, Cade Babcock, Cassie Babcock, Grayson Smith, Colton Elder, and Kaydence Smith; and his sister, Carolyn Kiss. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Joyce (Gladieux) Pavlica.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the memorial service to be held at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to a local humane society.
