Laurie Louise Mims

Laurie Louise Mims age 60 of Toledo passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Laurie was born to Larry and Louise (Reynolds) Chasteen on January 2, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1981 graduate of Waite High School. Laurie worked for Glass City Credit Union before becoming the CEO of the Jeep Country Federal Credit Union. Currently, she worked as the Patient Access Manager at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Laurie was the kind of person who loved life and loved her family to the fullest. She was her grandchildren’s greatest supporter. Laurie loved to travel and vacation especially going camping and down to Loudonville, Ohio. She never missed an opportunity to sing karaoke and Laurie had the most unique contagious laugh that would light up any room she was in.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband Charles; children Melissa (Don Mercer) Fitch and Ryan (Lindsey) Antonacci; stepson Charles Lee (Breanne) Mims; grandchildren McKenzie Fitch, Gianna and Roman Antonacci, Raelynn and Harper Mims, and Ryleigh Mercer; sister Dawn Lanting; life partner Leslie Garber and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kym Chasteen, and brother-in-law Jamie Flunder.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 2 until 8 p.m. A funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. The funeral luncheon will be held following the service at The Sportsman Club 1025 Starr Ave in Toledo.
