Larry Martin Sr.

Larry Martin Sr. age 92, of Toledo passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Larry was born to Apolonio Andres and Rosalia (Salmon) Martinez in Seguin, Texas on February 13, 1928. He was an accomplished musician playing accordion in his band, Larry Martin and the Happy Boys. Larry loved the Price is Right and was happy to have been able to attend two live productions of the show. Larry worked at the Toledo Jeep for 48 years until his retirement and was a proud member of UAW Local 12.
Larry is survived by his children Carmen Martin, Rosemary Flores, Larry Martin Jr., Arlene Ruiz, Betty Anzaldua, Helen (Paul) Hawkenson, Robert Martin, Jerry L. Martin, Mary Lou (David) Castilleja, Joan Martin, Harry Martin, Anthony (Julia) Martin, Sandy Martin, and Daniel (Tina) Martinez; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Carmen in 2009, son Frank Martin, son-in-laws Edward Flores, Louis Ruiz and Abelardo Anzaldua, and grandson Anthony Julian Martin.
A private burial will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park.
