Larry E. Etts, 69, of Genoa, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 16, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Harvey and Betty Etts. Larry served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He worked for Chrysler-Jeep for 20 years, retiring in 1998.
Larry was a member of the Northwood V.F.W. Post #2984 where he served as Commander for three years. He was a devoted family man. Larry enjoyed family cookouts, going fishing and camping. He will be dearly missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandy; children: Faith (Mitch) Weesner, Tracy (Jeff) Hughes, Larry L. (Wendy) Etts, Randy Etts, Jodie (Jeff) Brawley, Dale ( Bethany) Etts and Nick Etts; 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and sisters, Sharon Ingram, Tammie Etts and Pam Brown and brother, Kenny (Deb) Hagemann. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Brown.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. where a Veteran service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
