Kristine L. McCarthy-Garber, 65, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital in Oregon. She was born in Toledo on January 8, 1948 to George and June (Sipe) McCarthy and was a 1966 graduate of Waite High School. For over 6 years Kristine worked for Value City as a floor clerk and after the store closing, she began her 12 year career with Great Lakes Windows as a saw operator. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, playing games on the computer, reading and watching soap operas.
Kristine is survived by her sons, Lonnie (Julie) McCarthy and Troy McCarthy; daughter, Amanda (Rodney) McCarthy Noe; seven grandchildren; one grand kitty; two great-grandchildren and siblings, Florence Leuck, Robin Jordan, Dale DeLauter, Kim Berger, Scott DeLauter and David DeLauter. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Raymond DeLauter.
Family and friends may visit on Saturday, December 21, 2013, after 1 p.m. in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon where a Memorial Service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the National Kidney Foundation.
