Kellsie "Silly" Bellows

February 10, 1998 — August 20, 2022

Kellsie Bellows, age 24, unexpectedly passed away in her home on August 20, 2022. She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends, who were always entertained by her stories and hilarious sense of humor.

Kellsie was born February 10, 1998, in Gainesville, FL to John and Amy (Halasz) Bellows. In Kellsie's short life, she worked hard to earn her high school diploma from Oregon Eagle Learning Center and was a part of the graduating class of 2016. Following graduation, Kellsie pursued her love of beauty by enrolling in the Toledo Beauty Academy where she earned her nail technician license.

Kellsie was a beautiful soul who many got to know and love. She lived life to the fullest through her simple pleasure of being with friends and family, music, cooking, tanning, pampering herself, eating peanut butter, jelly and Dorito sandwiches, and making people laugh until they cried. Kellsie was nicknamed “Silly" just for that reason.

Kellsie endured over a decade of pain and suffering while dealing with hip issues starting at the young age of 11. Despite all that life threw at her, Kellsie remained positive and continued to look at the brighter side of things. She was the light in the room and her smile was contagious. Kellsie will be missed greatly by all of her loved ones. "Whenever you want to see me, always look at the sunset; I will be there." May we hold onto the memories that were made and remember to smile, as that is what Kellsie would have wanted.

Kellsie is survived by her mother, Amy Bellows; her sister, Brynn Bellows; her grandparents, Anne Bellows, John and Barbara Halasz; her uncles, Christopher Bellows and John “BoBo” Halasz; her aunt, Jane (Alton) McCullough; her godmother, Angie Halasz; her godfather, Rolando Lopez; her family friends, Pam, Dave, Church, and Emilee Mikolajczyk; and many dear cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Bellows, her grandfather, Peter Bellows, and her aunt, Libby Reed.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hungarian Club, 224 Paine Ave., Toledo, OH 43605. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the family. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, OH.
