Kathy Sue Mendoza

Kathy Sue Mendoza, 63, of Curtice, OH, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born February 24, 1958 in Toledo, OH to Lester and Jo Ann (Douglas) Walters. Kathy married the love of her life, Michael, and together they raised their family. She enjoyed crafting, making bracelets, writing poems and roses; but most of all she loved her family dearly and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Kathy leaves behind her loving husband, Michael; her children, Shelly (Rob) Groll, Michael Mendoza, Jesse (Angela) Mendoza, Randy (Nina) Mendoza, Nicole Mendoza, Julie (Anthony) Borja, and Jason (Sarah) Mendoza; her 27 grandchildren her 2 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Brenna (Richard) Urias, and Jana Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tim; and her daughter, Sue.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. where the memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Kathy will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the family.
