Kathleen Emma Swartz

Kathleen Emma Swartz, 79, of Oregon, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. She was born February 25, 1942 in Toledo, OH to Francis and Christine (Chambers) Wolfe. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School and later met the love of her life while fishing on Lake Erie, Wayne, whom she later married and together they raised their family. Kathleen enjoyed many things, among those were Hallmark movies, collecting different items such as Precious Moments figurines and Beanie Babies; but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family and especially loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.

Kathleen leaves behind her children, Debra (Don) Pfouts and Paul (Heather) Swartz; her grandchildren, Shane (Brittany) Pfouts, Bryan Pfouts, and Breann (Josh) Majors; her great-grandchildren, Easton, Bexley, Leyana, Kipton, Braxten, and Eleanor; her sister, Roberta Wolfe; and her sister-in-law, Sandra (Paul) Vertz. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne, and her parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. and Kathleen will be laid to rest at Lake Township Cemetery with her husband. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
