Kathleen M. Mazza

Kathleen M. Mazza age 72 of Toledo passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 peacefully surrounded by family at Otterbein- Monclova. Kathleen was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 23, 1952, to Arvin Edward and Maryann (Ochala) Latowski. She graduated from Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Kathleen had a very successful Avon Business for many years earning top distributor in our area. She and her husband Gaetano who preceded her in death in 2014 enjoyed many trips earned through Avon. Together, Gaetano and Kathleen ran several area pizza shops starting with Starr Pizza and growing their business to four locations. Kathleen loved her family from being a “hockey mom” when her son was younger to watching her grandsons, Kathleen loved being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed baking, sewing, arts and crafts in her free time. She loved collecting knick-knacks from her travels and pictures of her family. 

Kathleen is survived by her children Peter (Jenifer) Mazza, Michelle (Grady) Guthrie, and Josie (Justin McCutcheon) Mazza; grandchildren Devin (Kiley), Grady III, Dylan, Bella and Sofia; siblings Michael (Anne) Latowski, Cynthia Friese, and Stanley Latowski as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Dennis Latowski, and nephew Robert Friese. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at Epiphany of Our Lord- St Thomas 729 White St. Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
