Katherine “Dolly” Janicki

Dolly Janicki, 92, a longtime resident of the Toledo, Ohio – Lambertville, Michigan area, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 20, 2022, in Medina, Ohio, surrounded by her family.  Dolly was born December 4, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Emil and Luella (Robar) Dantzer.  Dolly was married to and divorced from John W. Miller.  In 1983, she married Daniel Janicki and he preceded her in death in 2001.  Dolly worked for Center Supermarkets for many years as a cashier.  Dolly was a past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for several years, and she particularly enjoyed being a member of the flag drill team.  Her hobbies were shopping at garage sales, visiting her favorite casinos, and traveling with family and friends.

Dolly is survived by her children, Dianne (Howard) George, and Bob (Marcia) Miller; 8 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe Dantzer and Karen (Tony) Voegeli; along with many loving family members.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Miller; and sisters, Donna Gilhouse and Nancy Wasserman.

A private memorial service will be held for family.  Inurnment will take place at Willow Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in Dolly’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
