Karen E. Struble, 54, of Toledo, OH, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born July 5, 1958 in New York City, NY to Lawrence and June (Pascek) Rose. Karen worked as a Youth Director for 29 years working her last 3 for East Toledo Baptist Church, where she was also a devoted member. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, often teaching to anyone who shared her love for it. Karen had a gift for taking to children of all ages and used this to help and nurture them whenever she had the opportunity.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 31 years, Mark; parents; sister, Cindy (Brian) Greto; 2 nieces and 4 nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her son, Sean Struble and sister, Wendy Adams-Wregle.
Friends and family may visit from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, OH where the funeral service will be begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the East Toledo Baptist Youth Program.
