Kara Leigh Plummer

June 6, 1973 — May 4, 2020

Kara Leigh Plummer, age 47 of Toledo, passed away on May 4, 2020 after a battle against multiple sclerosis. She was born on June 6, 1973 to Robert and Kathy (Whatmore) Plummer Sr. in Toledo.

Kara graduated from Waite High School. Before her fight with MS began, she played violin and enjoyed tap dancing. She spent as much time as she could with her family and friends and cherished every moment she got with them. Her parents took her and her brother all over the U.S. to see some pretty spectacular sights. She had been to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, and Las Vegas to name a few. Kara looked for any reason to celebrate and get the family together, whether it be a birthday, a holiday, or a Tuesday. Kara was a single mom who worked so hard to support herself and her children. She had a creative mind, and her nursing home room was decked out in decorations. Kara loved dream catchers, which were a staple décor item in her room, and wolves. Kara will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Kara is survived by her children Brooke (Michael) Russo, Timothy (Karrie) Gosik; parents Kathy and Robert Plummer Sr.; brother Robert Plummer Jr.; and grandchildren Maeleigh and Ryleigh Gosik. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Lawrence and Rose Romano, and paternal grandparents Roy and Hazel Plummer Sr.

A memorial service will be held on May 8, 2021 at 11 AM in the mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park. Her family will welcome friends and family from 11AM to 12 PM at the cemetery. A luncheon for any that would like to join her family to celebrate Kara will be at the Macomber Lodge in Oregon, Ohio at 1 PM.
