Justin Andrew Church, 30, was given back to the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2011 by his loving family, after God chose to welcome him back to heaven on November 19th, when Justin suffered a brain aneurysm. Known for always running late or just squeaking in on time, he can truly blame this one on his family, who delayed his going by honoring his final wishes to be an organ donor.
Justin was welcomed into this world October 29, 1981, by his parents, David and Joan and a very excited big sister, Heather.
Between doing the things that life requires (school, work, eating, sleeping), Justin invested his time in helping and entertaining family (if Justin knew your name, you were family; if he didn’t know your name, he just hadn’t met you yet). Justin loved sports (watching and playing) and anything that pushed the limit. Justin loved making people laugh and had the gift of making you feel welcomed and relaxed in his presence.
Justin found the love of his life in 2009 when Jackie Schmidt entered his life. They were planning a September 2012 wedding and, yes, Justin was very much involved and loving every minute of it. Their time together was spent traveling to many places and enjoying activities.
Besides his parents, sister and fiancé, Justin is survived by the best brother-in-law, Jeff; nephew, Jaryn and niece, Kira Loughman; also his grandmothers, Della Church and Joan Lott; many aunts, uncles and many, many, many cousins; Bella, his beloved dog and Kitty the cat.
Visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, 5650 Starr Ave. Saturday at 11 a.m. where the family will receive friends after 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
