June Ann Taylor

June Ann (Vermilyea) Taylor age 76 of Walbridge, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo Center on Monday, April 10, 2023. June was born to William and Geraldine (Smith) Vermilyea in Toledo, Ohio on July 6, 1946. A 1964 graduate of Northwood High School, June married her sweetheart Charles that same year and together they raised 3 children. She was a hard worker who preferred to stay busy whether at work in insurance verification for Mercy or at home where she loved to sew, cook, and garden. June would sometimes start her cookies for family and friends in the wee hours of the morning. She loved to crochet and cross stitch as well, especially baby blankets. A longtime resident of Walbridge, June was baptized at Main Street Church.

June is survived by her husband of 58 years Charles; children Denise (Scott) Hauter, Debra (Michael) Gerke, and Gregory Taylor; grandchildren Haley Gerke, Kelsi Hauter, Brandon Taylor, Zachary Hauter, Kendall Gerke, and Ryan Taylor; twin sister Judy Hill; sister Sandi (Bob) Faulkner; brother Charlie Vermilyea and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers William, Steve, and David Vermilyea; in-laws William and Virginia Taylor; and brothers-in-law William, Don, and Dan Taylor.

A celebration of life for June will be planned soon. Memorial contributions are appreciated to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Alzheimer’s Association.
