Julius Edward Stribrny

December 31, 1931 — December 30, 2015

Julius “Ed” Stribrny, age 83, passed away on December 30, 2015 while under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born December 31, 1931 in Toledo to William and Leona (Trautman) Stribrny and was a graduate of Macomber High School. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Northampton during the Korean War. After serving, he returned to Toledo and worked for Bigelow-Gibson and Derkin & Wise. He then started P & S Welding.

Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary (Murphy) Stribrny; sons, Ed (Lois) and Ray (Nancy); daughters, Janet, Margaret (Aaron) Klar, Laurie Stribrny (Larry Helle); grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Kiefer, Kelley (Steve) Gaynier, Brian and Sarah Stribrny, Michael Stribrny, Rachael (Josh) Hamacher, Brandon and Shawnee France, Ryan Klar, 9 great-grandchildren and sister, Alice (Loren) Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hazel, Martha and Taddy; brothers, Ray, Jim and William and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Ed’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
