Julius A. Horvath Jr., 82, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. He was born on July 18, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Julius and Margaret Horvath Sr. Julius worked for L.O.F. for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII and was a member of Christ Dunberger Post #537. Julius was known as a handyman and could fix anything, especially bikes, cars and lawnmowers. He was a member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Organization with his wife for 13 ½ years where they met many great friends along the way. He will be dearly missed.
Julius is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma; children: Robert (Deb) Horvath, Linda (Bob) Shuman, Julie Ann Horvath and James (Sherry) Horvath; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and brother, Richard (Charlene) Horvath. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 11-1 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
