Julie Ann Pocs

Julie Ann Pocs age 60 of Oregon passed away surrounded by family and friends Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Julie was born to Dennis and Marian (Tober) Rice on November 15, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1982 graduate of Waite High School where she met her high school sweetheart and partner for life, her husband Joseph Pocs whom she married on August 10, 1984. Julie has worked in Radiology at Mercy St. Charles Hospital for over 28 years. She was the most giving, selfless, and generous person to everyone she knew. She loved not only her family and friends but also her friends' families. Julie was devoted to her grandchildren, who never heard “no” from GeGe. Julie was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed spending time with her husband, watching her grandchildren play sports, and taking trips with her girlfriends or family.

Julie is survived by her husband Joseph; children Joseph (Estella) Pocs Jr. and Jessica (Seth Granger) Pocs; grandchildren Kaeden, Dillon, Morgan, Kaleb, and Konner; brother Dennis (Terri) Rice Jr. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Marian, sister Sandy Tegtmeier, and brothers Fred and Paul Rice.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. In honor of Julie’s giving personality, memorial contributions are appreciated to a charity of your choice.
