Juanita B. Kekes, 92, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance. She was born on February 29, 1920 in Toledo to Charles and Della Carley. Juanita retired from O.I. working in the Janitorial Dept. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her yard.
Juanita is survived by her grandchildren: John Gawle Jr., Theresa Vaughn and Scott (Kristie) Gawle; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Leo Jeko; 2nd husband, Fritz Kekes; daughter, Rita Gawle and 7 brothers and sisters.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon, Ohio on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie West Hospice or Hickory Ridge of Temperance.
