Juan L. Rizo Sr., 94, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Orchard Villa surrounded by his family. He was born on June 13, 1919 in Arandas, Jalisco Mexico to Miguel and Teresa (Lopez) Rizo.
He is survived by his three sons; Juan Rizo Jr., Alfonso (Jane) Rizo and Miguel (Alice) Rizo; sister, Guadalupe Arriaga of Guadalajara, Mexico; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren & great great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Juan was preceded in death by his wife, Ester Rizo, his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2-9 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where the family will greet friends one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius Building Fund or Remembrance Masses for Juan.
