Josephine Babcock

Josephine Babcock, 83, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Bay Park Community Hospital.  She was born on February 12, 1929 to Arthur and Sophie Patznick.  Prior to starting her family, Josephine worked in the business offices at Franklin Printing and Sears for many years.  She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.  Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be dearly missed.


She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Barbara (Gino) Chiappetta and Patricia (Danny) Hughes; grandchildren, Nicholas Chiappetta and Ashley Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert son, David Babcock, grandson, John Hughes and brother, Richard Patznick.


Private services will be held for the family at St Ignatius Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a legacy memorial to Lake High School Wrestling.  Contributions may be made to:  Lake High School Wrestling (John Hughes’ name on the memo line), Lake High School, 28080 Lemoyne Road Millbury, Ohio 43447.
