Joseph Martin Sr., 94, of Toledo, OH, passed away on September 2, 2015 surround by his loving family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on January 12, 1921 to Andrew and Rose (Salmon) Martin in Seguin, TX. He served in the U.S. Army. Joseph was employed as an Inspector for Francis Stone Co. and most recently for Doehler Jarvis for 15 years until he retired. In his spare time he enjoyed composing music and was a master at working with his hands. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Narsisa, 1 great-grandchild and 5 siblings. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Joanne Sutton) Martin Jr., Louis Martin, David (Rachel) Martinez and Mary Ellen (Donald) Coleman; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, from 10 to 1 p.m. The funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
