Joseph R. Barber, Jr. 64, of Toledo passed away on Monday September 15, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Betty Barber of 41 years, his sons, Mark, Joey (Paula) and Bobby (Dawn); his siblings, Mary and David and 8 grandchildren.
Joe was a SP 4 in the U.S. Army, serving his country in Vietnam and survived the overrun of FSB MaryAnn where he was awarded a Bronze Star for his valor. After returning from Vietnam, Joe was very active in junior sports, cub scouts and played Santa for numerous school activities in East Toledo.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 12-4 p.m. with the funeral services to begin at 4 p.m. Burial will remain private.
