John Forrest Sancrant

John Forrest Sancrant, 70, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

John was born February 2, 1952 to the delight of his parents John and Jaque. In his early twenties he worked for Conrail and raised a family in Toledo, Ohio. In 1999 he received a science degree from the University of Toledo and worked as a drug counselor for many years. Throughout his life he was always willing to help someone in need and offer advice. Later he lived in Manchester, England and worked for Royal Mail. He loved to travel which led to his most recent career of driving a semi-truck. He enjoyed being on the road and found solace in nature. John was grateful for having the opportunity to visit forty-eight states. During his down time, he resided in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Since retiring John enjoyed spending time with family and taking his dog for walks in the park. He had a love for music of all genres and was a fan of James Bond films. Most of all, he will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

John leaves behind his children, Jon (Lupe), Jason (Magen), Jennifer (Ryan), Jared, Julie (Craig) and Madeline; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Cheryl and Tonie; and his beloved dog, Scout. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sancrant, Jaque Logan and Jack Logan.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel. John will be laid to rest at North Oregon Cemetery.
