John C. King, age 54, passed away in Toledo, OH on May 15, 2016. He was born in Oregon, OH on January 21, 1962 to Joseph A. and Theresa (Vaido) King. John worked as the Head of Maintenance at the Toledo Shipyards for 22 years. John enjoyed fishing and was a real animal lover. He loved to repair cars and did it as a side job. John was a kind soul who will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his daughters, Erica (Jason) Destatte, Monica King and Chelsea King; grandchildren, Adam Symington, Max and Marcus Destatte; brothers and sisters. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Theresa King, Shirley Collier and Joseph P. King.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 2 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
