John Richard Burden

John Richard Burden age 82 of Williston, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 peacefully at home. John was born to Verda and Theora (Bassett) Burden on July 25, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio. He proudly served our country in the Ohio Army National Guard. John worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Area Office of Aging in Lucas County for many years. He loved motorcycles and gaming (all platforms). He was full of spit and vinegar and always kept up with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his significant other Linda Moore; daughter Molly Burden; step-children Heather Bell, Anthony Bell and Matthew Copeland; grandchildren Krystel, Jacob, David, Brianna, Nikolas, Brittany, Mya, Davonte, Mandiesha, Anthony, Zykeirra, Alayla, Linda and Calep; great-grandchildren India, Damian, Raven, Dashawn, Daniyah and Derjuan; and a sister, Genevieve Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vernie, Ollie, Glenn Earl and Roger and a sister Shirley.

Friends and family may visit Freck Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 2 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
