John K. Avery, 63, of Toledo, was born on April 2, 1950 in Lakewells, FL to Andy and Shirley (Bass) McLelland . He passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at University of Toledo Medical Center. John was a U.S. Veteran who proudly served during Vietnam. John loved his dog Tucker and had various hobbies.
He is survived by his sister, Glenda (David) West-Collin, brother, James Avery; Aunt, Jananne and nieces and nephews who all reside in Florida. John is survived by many dear friends including Linnie and Mary. God saw you getting tired John and took you home. We will always love and miss you.
Family and friends may visit after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, where the funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
