Jody Lee (Gaddis) Hamilton

Jody Lee (Gaddis) Hamilton, age 62 of Toledo, passed away on December 8, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born on August 31, 1959 to Harley Gaddis and Sharon (Crandall) Hulet in Toledo.

Jody was a fun-loving woman. She enjoyed vacationing and traveling wherever the world would take her, and coined herself as a “Nashville Lover.” She loved the city and its people, sights, and atmosphere. Jody followed the Buckeyes and Cowboys and cheered for them wherever she could.

Jody had a truly special and loving relationship with her husband of 42 years, Bobby, and their grandbabies Dylan and Austin who lovingly called her “Nana Hami.” Bobby and Jody took their grandbabies on trips almost every year, starting when Dylan was only 10 months old. She cherished every moment she got to spend with them and relished in the memories they shared together.

Jody was also a woman of strong faith in the Lord. She adored her relationship with Jesus and was ready when he called her home. People also called her “a Saint on Earth.” She fought for years with early-onset diabetes, and struggled with losing her vision. She was such a strong woman who believed the Lord would bring her comfort in the most trying, painful, and difficult times. Her family also brought her so much love and comfort, she loved them so dearly and made sure they knew it. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Jody is survived by her loving husband, Bobby; children, James (Amanda) Hamilton and Jennifer Hamilton; grandchildren, Dylan and Austin; mother, Sharon Hulet; siblings, Bobby (Karin), Linda, Kenny, and Amy (Gary); step-siblings, Doug, Dave, and Diane Hulet; 15 nieces and nephews, and 33 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harley Gaddis; step-father, Robert Hulet; grandma and grandpa Crandall; and brother-in-law’s, Jerry and Michael Hamilton.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, December 13, 2021, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A meal will follow after the service.
