Joanne V. (Schnabel) Bowman

Joanne V. Bowman, 76, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on February 18, 2012 at ProMedica St. Luke’s Hospital.   She was born on February 6, 1936 in Curtice, Ohio to Herman and Thelma Schnabel.  Joanne married John in 1957 and together they raised 4 children.  She was known for finding deals, usually at a garage sale or shopping at the flea market.  Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends spreading God’s word.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John; children:  Brian (Leslie) Bowman, Bradley Bowman, Brice (Glenna) Bowman and Brenda Bowman; grandchildren:  Brian Jr. (Kathy), Christine, Alex, Andy (Stacey), Cassidy, Cody, Matthew, Natalie, Valarie and Elizabeth; brothers, Charles (Marsha) Schnabel, Gary (Audrey) Schnabel and twin sisters, Barbara Schnabel and Mary Moore.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Clay Twp. Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Rock Church for missionary work or the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
A luncheon will be served at the Rock Church, 4058 Starr Ave. Oregon, Ohio after the burial.
