Joan M. Kellerbauer

November 24, 1941 — June 1, 2021

Joan M. Kellerbauer, age 79, of Oregon, passed away on June 1, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on November 24, 1941 to Luther Wilson and Ruth (Jones) Head in Harlan, Kentucky. She started working for Jeep in the mid-1970's, and stayed there until her retirement.

Joan was a woman of many talents. She liked redecorating her house, watching the birds at her bird feeders, crocheting, scrapbooking, shopping, playing the slot machines at the casino, cooking her famous banana bread and banana pudding, playing bingo or cards, loving on her fur baby Dixie, and gardening. She always had something in bloom the entire year. She was also quite the prankster. Joan loved her family dearly, and getting them all together was her specialty. She will be dearly missed.

Joan is survived by her children, Mark and Cindy (Bob) Owens; grandchildren, Angie (Shaun), Mark Jr. (Roxanne), Shane (Kim), Cody (Justus), Aaron (Kayla), Matthew (Haley), and McKenna; great-grandchildren, Shaun Jr., Andrew, Michael, Nicholas, Madyson, Avery, Aubrey, and Anthony; siblings, Jane and Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marty; sister, Janice; brothers Donnie, Tommy, Steve, and Timmy; daughter-in-law, Rhonda; and her parents, Luther and Ruth (Tom).

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Clay Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
