Jesse Espinoza

August 9, 1948 — December 14, 2020

Jesse Espinoza age 72, of Toledo passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio- Toledo Center. Jesse was born to Mike Sr. and Marselina (Chavez) Espinoza on August 9, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Macomber High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart. As a youth Jesse served as an altar boy at the then Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Segur in Toledo. He was a certified butcher but most enjoyed working outdoors; he was commercial landscaper and fisherman until his retirement. Anyone who knew Jesse would say he was a very generous and kind man. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and has many times. He leaves behind the family he loved very much and many lifelong friends.
Jesse is survived by his loving sisters Rosemary Aldaya and Irene (Dan Schrader) Espinoza; special friend Miguel that he mentored throughout his youth and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Mike Jr., Raymond, Tony, and Louis and niece Connie Espinoza.
Services will be planned for a later date. The family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and aides at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo for their wonderful care and compassion.
