Jerry J. Heinz, 54, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after a strong fight with lung cancer.  He was born on October 8, 1960 in Junction City, Kansas to Anita and Eugene.  Jerry worked in the trades industry as a drywall finisher.  He owned his own company, Jerry Heinz Drywall for many years and took great pride in working on clients homes.  Jerry married his wife, Robin on June 29, 1984 and started their family raising 4 children.

In his younger years, Jerry played amateur baseball and was offered to practice with the Toronto Blue Jays.  He also excelled at wrestling and football.  Jerry was a coach at the Oregon Rec. for many years.  He was proud of his kids and grandkids.  Jerry loved spending time with his family, whether it was at the family fish fry’s or just fishing with friends, especially his son, Jesse.  He also enjoyed quality time in the mornings with his grandson, Connor.  Jerry will be dearly missed.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Robin; children, Mandy (Chadd), Jesse (Courtney), Sarah (Ronnie) and Jenna (Todd); mother, Anita Gross; father, Eugene Heinz; grandchildren:  Connor, Mariah, Kyra, Cardden, Maliyah, Kendall, Kenzie; brothers, Dwight, Mike, Craig and Chris; sisters, Barb, Debbie and Suzie; special brother-in-law, Jeff Lamphier and his dog, Gotti.  He was preceded in death by his dad, Carl Gross; brother, Jeff; grandparents; beloved dog, Lucky; mother-in-law, Johannah and father-in-law, Leland.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
