SFC  JEFFREY  K.  WAGNER (RETIRED)

Jeffrey Wagner, 53, of Toledo, passed away after a 7 year courageous battle with Sarcoma. He was born in Toledo on August 15, 1961 to Russell, Sr. and Patricia (Nicklin) Wagner. Jeff served our country in the U.S. Army National Guard being deployed in the very beginnings of the Gulf War thru Operation Desert Storm. Jeff continued his military career for 22 years with the 323rd Military Police Battalion. He also worked for 18 years in the Advertising Department for the Toledo Blade and as a Warehouse Foreman for 5 years with Midwest Tape. Jeff was an avid sports fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Detroit Tigers and a season ticketholder for the Detroit Lions; but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Kyle and Justin; daughter, Kaitlin (Josh Rupert); grandchildren, Sophia and Dominic Rupert; siblings, Russell (Regenea) Wagner, Jr., Wendy (Dan) Bartha, Tina (John) Clark, Patti (Alan) Urbanyi and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Russell and mother and stepfather, Patricia and Lee Beckford.

Family and Friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Sunshine Children’s Home.
