Jean Marie (Horn) Pfister

Jean Marie Pfister, age 89, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Orchard Villa with family by her side.  She was born on April 2, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Hillary and Minnie (Cooper) Horn.  Jean worked as a clerk for 20 years at Woolworths.  She was a member of East Toledo Baptist Church for 59 years with her husband, John.  Marie was a devoted Christian and volunteered at various church events.

Jean Marie is survived by her family; daughter, Beverly (David) Trost; son, John Pfister Jr.; daughter, Debi Pfister-Aldrich, six grandchildren, Tara Trost, Amanda Malecki, Ben (Sara) Trost, Melissa Pfister, Bradley and Zachary Sarka, 2 great-grandchildren, Chantel (Aidan) VanDyk and Reid Trost; brothers, Herschel (Ann) Horn, and Joe (Pat) Horn; sisters, Henrietta Boswell, and Martha Holland along with many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Pfister Sr.; daughter-in-law, Cathy Pfister; brother, John Horn; sister-in-law, Bonnie Horn; brother-in-law, Joe Boswell, and Billy Holland; and grandson, Chris Malecki.

Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions are appreciated to the donor’s choice or to the family to decide on a memorial later.
