Jean M. Morse

Jean M. Morse age 91 of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully at Landings of Oregon On Thursday, December 8, 2022. Jean was born to Clayton and Thelma (Kuhn) Zelms on July 29, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1949 graduate of Harriet Whitney Vocational High School. She was married to her husband Vern on August 27, 1949, he preceded her in death on May 5, 2009. Jean volunteered at the Lutheran Home for over 25 years. She was a very active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Curtice and enjoyed crochet, traveling, and taking bus tours.

Jean is survived by her children Diane (Ray) Medlin, Darrell (Cindy) Morse, and daughter-in-law Debbie Morse; grandchildren Matthew (Jeannie) Medlin, Adam Morse, Ashlee Morse, Tamara (Eric) Huguely, and Craig (Kelly) Morse; great-grandchildren Sophie, Matt Jr., Ashlynn, Reese, Gavin, Brenah and Morgan; sister-in-law Vista and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Martin, son Bruce, granddaughter Melissa Medlin Emerson and sister Doris Bober.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 2 until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at North Oregon Cemetery.
