Jason Jerome Brinkman

July 4, 1974 — November 28, 2021

Perrysburg, Ohio

With a very saddened heart, the family of Jason Jerome Brinkman announces his passing on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, with his family by his bedside.

Jason was born on July 4, 1974, to Thomas and Mary Brinkman, the oldest of four children. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jason loved spending time with friends and family playing Euchre, poker, cornhole and anything that brought everyone together with a beer in one hand and a friend in the other. One of his favorite pastimes was attending games or cheering on his two favorite teams in his garage, Notre Dame (GO IRISH) and the Cleveland Browns.

Jason worked for Ohio Excavating as a heavy machine operator for 21 years and the men and women he worked with were like family to him.

Jason spent his last two years fighting cancer – and although he lost the battle, his reward is spending eternity in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. – God saw him getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so he wrapped his arms around him and whispered, “come with me.”

Jason is survived by his wife, Margie Brinkman; his children, Brock Brinkman, Christian Huntermark, and Brandon Hesselbart; his parents, Thomas and Mary Brinkman; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Andy and Kay Lodzinski; his siblings, Nicholas (Audrey) Brinkman, Adam (Stephanie) Brinkman, and Monica O’Connor; his brother-in-law, Joseph (Megan) Lodzinski; his niece and nephews, Thaddeus Briggs, Declan O’Connor, Maely O’Connor, Finnigan O’Connor, Jude Lodzinski and Bennett Lodzinski; his former wife, Alison Brinkman; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Sabina Gladieux, Ned and Jeanette Brinkman; and his cousin, Chad Brinkman.
