Jasmine M. Tingley, 18, of Toledo passed away early Monday morning, March 28, 2016 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born in Toledo on May 7, 1997 to Rebecca Diaz and Jerry E. Tingley, Jr. She was currently a student at Glass City Academy where she just was named Student of the Week. Her mentors commented how better her attitude has been and how her dedication and motivation to do her best has really shined thru in her recent achievements. She had aspirations to become a firefighter and pursue her culinary arts interests. Jasmine loved playing sports and was a Detroit Tigers fan.
She is survived by her father, Jerry (Carrie) Tingley, Jr.; mother, Rebecca Diaz; twin sister, Jocelyn Tingley; other siblings, Lorenzo and Valancia Diaz, Rachel and Nathan Stelter; grandparents, Linda and Jerry, Sr., Vicki Sulaica and Louis Diaz along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jasmine was preceded in death by her uncle, Todd; cousins, James Spetz and Ann Ridener and grandparents, William Spetz and Petra Diaz.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2-9 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
