James Gerald Meach

James Gerald Meach, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022. He was born July 5, 1948 at home in Perrysburg, Ohio to Bryson John and Velma Mae Meach. He was drafted into the US Army where he served his country in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Catherine, August 31, 1974 and together they raised their family. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many and he will be dearly missed.

James leaves behind his loving wife, Mary; his children, Dawn Marie (Bryan) Frohlich, Jennifer Ann Pelish, James Bryson (Emma) Meach, and Adam John (Renee) Meach, Sr.; his grandchildren, Katlyn M. Frohlich, Nathan T. Frohlich, Cheyenne S. Dunn, Kiley R. Dunn, Alexia S. Fisher, Damien B.J. Meach, Adam John Meach, Jr., Kyleigh N. Lewis, and Jackson J. Meach; his great-grandchildren, Barry A. Rodriguez and Stella R. Rodriguez; his siblings, William Meach and Wanda Leffingwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jack, Don, Ron, Forrest, Shirley, Nancy, Barbara, and Linda.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the funeral chapel at 11:00 a.m. James will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or a charity to support those with dementia or Parkinson’s disease.
