James Anthony Knipp

September 15, 1962 — August 4, 2022

James Anthony Knipp, age 59 of Oregon passed away unexpectedly at home on August 4, 2022. James was born to Arnold and Marcia (Murphy) Knipp in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 15, 1962. He was a graduate of Northview High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his time in the Marines he excelled in his service, becoming a member force reconnaissance and later separating at the rank of corporal. He enjoyed his travels overseas during his time of service and often shared stories about his adventures. Following his time in the Marines Jim was a nail tech and loved doing nails for his nieces and daughters. He then started his own business as a contractor and took pride in all of his work. Jim was forever the funniest person in the room. He was always joking, using his dry sarcasm, and could make anyone laugh. He was most proud of his kids and grandkids, telling anyone who would listen about their accomplishments. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Jim is survived by his daughters Elizabeth (John) Incorvaia, Emily (Taylor Savage) Knipp, Victoria (Jordan Ziegelhofer) Knipp, Samantha (Cody) Silva, and Krystina Knipp; grandchildren Eloise, Penny, Timmy, William, Scarlett, and a baby on the way; siblings Mary (Bobby) Howell, John (Pam) Knipp, Debbie (Dave) Felts, Lisa (Brian) Schwemley, and Linda (Mike) Madry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Beth Sicurella.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held for family and close friends on Friday, August 12 at 3:00pm.
