JAMES L. HALL

​James L. Hall, 92, of Wingate, NC and formerly of Zephyrhills, FL and Toledo, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was born in Toledo on April 3, 1922 to Oliver and Florence (Harpan) Hall and attended Clay High School. Jim served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Riley, KS.

​Jim had a tireless work ethic working two jobs to support his family as a mail handler at the main Toledo U.S. Post Office for 30 years and as a stockman for LaSalle and Koch Co. He was an enthusiastic camper travelling all over the United States including Alaska. He was a very gifted individual who could fix many electronics and even opened his own repair shop which he ran for many years.

​He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, June (Sisson) Hall; children, Joseph (Carla), Nancy (Dave) Olds, Susan Harding, Joyce (Joe) Wood and Richard (Sue); 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and siblings, Mary DuPont, Joan Lott, Sally (Tom) Ball and Thomas (Carolyn) along with many dear nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Lee and brother, Martin.

Local arrangements are being handled by Freck Funeral Chapel. Services will be private.
